Barbara has been practicing mindfulness for over 20 years. Barbara is supervisor and advisor to Louise Chester, as well as working with other associates of Mindfulness at Work. She is a qualified as a teacher of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy from the Institute of Mindfulness Based Approaches. This was a 16 month professional teacher-training. Barbara adheres to the ‘Good Practice Guidance for Teaching Mindfulness-Based Courses’. She is currently studying for an Msc in Mindfulness and Compassion with Aberdeen University at Kagyu Samye Ling in Scotland. Barbara is a qualified Counsellor and an Accredited Member of the BACP, working with clients since 1994. In the early 90s she started integrating Mindfulness and Radical Acceptance approaches informally into her teaching in a men’s prison where she ran the Art Department for 12 years. Sara is a Senior Learning & Development Professional and mental health at work trainer, as well as a resilience coach for executives. As a Sustaining Resilience at Work (StRaW) practitioner she specialises in resilience, wellbeing and mental health awareness training.  She is also Mental Health First Aid Trainer and ASIST suicide prevention trainer.

Areas of particular interest are sustained transformational behavioural change either through raising awareness with mental health at work training or with executive resilience coaching.

She is passionate about de-stigmatising and eliminating discrimination around mental health and wellbeing. Sara believes that everyone should be treated with respect and given appropriate support to live life to the full.

Sara is currently training as a Mindfulness training practitioner with the Mindfulness Association and will complete the Teacher Training programme in July 2018.
