Working with highly respected mindfulness experts in the education sector, Mindfulness at Work offers training programmes in schools to help heads, staff, pupils and parents develop a more mindful environment both at school and beyond. Our training helps participants to:
- Learn to respond rather than react to life and embrace change more easily
- Meet and surmount the challenges and stresses that they face moment to moment
- Have a greater awareness of their own thoughts, feelings and automatic thinking
- Be completely present and aware with other people – be they students, parents, colleagues or family members
- Remain innovative, objective and focused, to create more positive outcomes
To help adults and pupils access these skills, we offer:
- Introductory Talks and Workshops (often for parents or INSET days)
- 5-week Introduction to Mindfulness Course for groups (tailored to parents/staff)
- Applied Mindfulness Workshops and 1:1s
- Mindfulness In Schools Project programmes: Paws.b, .b and .b Foundations
- 6 & 8 week group Mindfulness Courses based on Oxford University’s Mindfulness Centre course ‘Mindfulness: Finding Peace in a Frantic World’ by Mark Williams & Dr Danny Penman
- Mindful Wellness Programme
- Mindfulness-based Coaching
“I thoroughly enjoyed the course. It’s given me a new perspective to my own habits that I can reflect on. I hope to positively use the activities I have learned to gain a better understanding of ways to help me in the future. I would highly recommend them to everyone. Thank you so much.” Jackie (Year 2 Teacher)
“I loved every second of the course and have taken so much from it. I now couldn’t imagine life without meditating and taking time out and I know I will take these skills with me through life and also reach out to people about mindfulness. I hope one day I could become a mindfulness coach too!” Abi (Year 13 Student)
“A big thank you – the course, so brilliantly lead….for the first time in a while I’m actually switching off a little from work and prioritising me.” Emma (Head of ICT)
Our programs are specifically created for each client, drawing content from our three focus areas:
- Performance & Effectiveness
- Creativity & Energy
- Balance & Resilience
The programs are research-based and deliver practical tools and strategies to enhance organizational excellence and day-to-day workplace effectiveness, addressing relevant topics such as emails, meetings, communication, prioritisation, and more.

In addition to learning about the science underpinning why mindfulness works, participants get to experience mindfulness practices for themselves, thereby realise its value for peak workplace performance. The workshop is designed with reference to any ongoing culture change, leadership or L&D training that participants are currently undergoing, so that it feels immediately relevant and applicable to them.
We usually recommend a 2 ½ hour workshops, or a series of shorter workshops over a full day for a larger audience. This format has also proven successful for themed wellbeing days, for example National Stress Awareness Day.
